Tenders land at the foot of a compact, walkable walled old town.
Where ships dock
- Anchor in the bay and tender to the Banchina Dogana in the old harbour, below the town walls
Getting to town
Tenders land at the harbour right below the sea walls. The old town (centro storico) starts a few minutes' walk away, through Porta a Mare.
The old town is flat and walkable. Boats to Neptune's Grotto (Grotta di Nettuno) leave from the port (April to November, weather permitting), about 35 to 40 minutes each way. Buy the cave ticket (€18) before boarding: it's not included in the boat fare. By land, ARST bus line 5 runs to Capo Caccia, then it's 654 steps down the Escala del Cabirol, and a timed slot must be booked.
Fares are as reported by the sources below and change often. Treat them as estimates.
