A modern terminal, but the old town is a 25 to 30 minute ride away.
Where ships dock
- Port Akdeniz cruise terminal (QTerminals Antalya), west of the city near Konyaaltı beach
Getting to town
The cruise terminal is about 12 to 15 km west of Kaleiçi, the old town, so it isn't walkable. A taxi takes about 25 to 30 minutes; lines often sell a shuttle to the city.
Taxis wait at the terminal: agree a price or check the meter is on. Ship shuttles go to Kaleiçi or the city centre (check the drop-off and return times). Konyaaltı beach and the Antalya Museum are the closest sights, about 15 to 20 minutes by taxi. Perge and Aspendos need a tour.
Fares are as reported by the sources below and change often. Treat them as estimates.
Money & entry
Currency: Turkish lira (TRY). Cards are widely accepted; vendors near ports often quote euros or dollars, but lira usually works out cheaper.
Entry: U.S. ordinary passport holders don't need a visa for tourism in Türkiye for up to 90 days in any 180 (Turkish Foreign Ministry). Cruise visitors on shore visits may enter without a visa for up to 72 hours, with local authorities' permission. The U.S. Embassy advises 6 months of passport validity and blank pages for stamps. Safety & tips
- Summer heat is intense: start early and carry water.
- Shopkeepers in Kaleiçi can be pushy; a smile and a firm "no thank you" works.
- Aspendos and Perge take a half day together; don't combine them with the old town on a short call.
- The State Department rates Türkiye Level 2 (Exercise increased caution; advisory issued Jun 9, 2026), with Level 4 within 10 km of the Syrian and Iraqi borders. Antalya is far from those areas.

⏰ Back to the ship on time
Leave Kaleiçi at least 1 hour before all-aboard, more in summer traffic. If you use the ship's shuttle, it will wait for late tours; a taxi won't.
Ship time can differ from local time. Your ship won't wait for independent travelers.
