Entry: Bahamas: on a closed-loop cruise (starting and ending at the same U.S. port), U.S. citizens can sail with an original or certified birth certificate plus government photo ID, but a valid U.S. passport is strongly recommended in case you have to fly home. You stay inside the cruise line's area, so there's no separate immigration line for you.

⏰ Back to the ship on time

Whether you walk or tender, start back 45–60 minutes before all-aboard.

Ship time can differ from local time. Your ship won't wait for independent travelers.

Shore excursions that get you back on time

At Great Stirrup Cay, excursions, cabanas and day passes are sold by the cruise line (Norwegian Cruise Line), not Viator. Book them in the NCL app or at the shore excursions desk onboard.

Booking through the line also means the ship knows where you are if anything runs late.
