Where ships dock

  • Most ships anchor and tender to Kungsbron (the King's Bridge) landing on Trossö, in the city centre
  • Smaller ships (up to about 150 m) berth at the City Port, Handelshamnen

Getting to town

Karlskrona sits on the island of Trossö, and the tourist office puts the centre about 300 m from either the tender landing or the pier: Stortorget, the main square, is about a 5 minute walk. The Naval Museum on Stumholmen is about 350 m from the tender landing. A free mini-train runs between the port, the Naval Museum and the centre.

Walk, or ride the free mini-train. Hop-on hop-off boats tour the archipelago and the naval forts. Taxis are available at the pier.
