A short ride to Intramuros, but heat and heavy traffic make it more than a stroll.
Where ships dock
- Pier 15, Manila South Harbor (Eva Macapagal Super Terminal), in the working port area off Bonifacio Drive
Getting to town
Intramuros, the Spanish walled city, starts about 1.5 to 2 km north-east of the pier, with Rizal Park and the National Museum just south-east of the walls. You can walk it in about 25 minutes, but the route passes truck traffic with little shade, so most people take a Grab (about 10 minutes).
Use Grab (ride-hailing; price shown upfront in the app, usually about ₱150 to ₱250 to Intramuros) from outside the Pier 15 gate. Taxis at the gate often refuse the meter: insist on it or agree the fare first. Inside Intramuros, walk or take a kalesa (horse carriage) or bike tour. Binondo, the old Chinatown, is 15 to 30 minutes by car.
Fares are as reported by the sources below and change often. Treat them as estimates.
