Where ships dock

  • Propriano commercial port (Quai de l'Herminier), next to the marina: small and mid-size ships berth alongside
  • Larger ships anchor in the Gulf of Valinco and tender to the marina

Getting to town

The port authority calls Propriano "a port in the city": the promenade starts at the quay, and the shops, cafés and restaurants are a few minutes' flat walk. Follow the green pedestrian route out of the commercial port.

Walk the town and the beach. Public buses are minimal, so for Filitosa (about 20 to 25 minutes), Sartène (about 15 to 20 minutes) or the beaches at Campomoro, take a taxi, a hire car (book ahead in summer) or a tour. Boat trips along the Valinco coast leave from the marina.
