Where ships dock

  • America Terminal (Amerikaskjulet, berth 36), central, on the city side of the river
  • Arendal (berth 751), outer harbour: about 20 minutes by bus or taxi
  • Skandia and Älvsborg on Hisingen, about 9 km out (free port bus to the gate at Älvsborg)

Getting to town

From America Terminal, Järntorget is about a 15-minute walk (1.5 km) on the marked route, or take tram 9 from Stigbergstorget. From the outer berths, use the ship's shuttle or a taxi: walking is not allowed or advised.

Västtrafik trams cover the city; tap a Visa or Mastercard on board to pay (single zone A ticket about 38 kr). Note your exact terminal name before you leave.
