There's no town at the terminal. It's about a 10-minute walk from the gangway to the main gate, where taxis queue. Mataram is about 25 to 29 km (roughly 45 minutes) and Senggigi about an hour.
Blue Bird taxis are the most reliable metered option. Grab and Gojek are easier to request from the public road outside the gate. For a day out, a driver or the ship's tour is simplest. The Gili Islands are too far for a normal port call.
