The center is a few hundred meters away: the square about 300 m, the cathedral about 500 m, and the Romsdal Museum about 900 m.
Varden viewpoint is about 4.5 km up the hill (about 90 minutes' walk uphill), so a taxi or shuttle is easier. The Atlantic Road is about 50 to 60 km west; tours take about 3.5 hours.
