  • Port Hercule (tenders, or Quai Rainier III for some ships)

Getting to town

You land in Port Hercule. The Casino is about 10–15 minutes away and the Prince's Palace about 15 minutes, uphill. Public lifts and escalators help.

CAM city buses and public lifts cover the hills. Trains and bus 100 run to Nice and Villefranche.

Money & entry

Currency: Euro (€). Cards are widely accepted; carry some cash for small purchases.

Entry: Monaco isn't in the EU, but there are no border controls with France. U.S. passport required. ETIAS (the EU travel authorization) is NOT yet in operation: the official EU site says no applications are being collected and a start date will be announced several months ahead (checked Oct 2026). Don't pay any site claiming to sell ETIAS now. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) does register non-EU travelers' passports and biometrics at Schengen external borders.
