The tender lands on the seafront of a compact, walkable Cycladic town.

Where ships dock

  • Most ships anchor off Parikia and tender to the harbour front by the ferry quay; small ships may berth in calm weather
  • Some small-ship lines (for example Seabourn) tender to Naoussa on the north coast instead

Getting to town

In Parikia you land on the waterfront of the island's main town: the church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani is a few minutes' walk, and the Archaeological Museum about 8 minutes. The whitewashed old town and the Kastro start right behind the seafront. If your ship lands at Naoussa, that village is your town for the day.

Walk Parikia. KTEL Paros buses leave from the Parikia bus station for Naoussa, Lefkes and the beaches; buy tickets at the station or an outlet before boarding. Taxis wait near the port. Watch out for ferry traffic on the quay.
